Our diverse expertise, client base, and geographies have enabled LJB to serve clients in all 50 U.S. states and several countries.
We are currently seeking a candidate to fill a full-time Mid-Level Design Engineer position in Dayton, Ohio. The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude, have a passion for and take pride in their work, be a creative thinker, and have a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently
Pay: $85,000 - 140,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

MID-LEVEL DESIGN ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform engineering design tasks for projects from preliminary to final design.
  • Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages.
  • Establish working relationships and contact with client technical staff and project manager.
  • Provide engineering design services for traditional design-bid-build projects and design-build projects.
  • Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design and constructions plans.
  • Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors and client managers.
  • Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance.
  • Actively participate and serve in positions with professional organization(s).

MID-LEVEL DESIGN ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required
  • P.E. license required

Qualifications:
  • 4-9 years of experience required
  • Experience working with DOTs preferred
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D software experience preferred
