Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Analyst to join an innovative program office. In this role, you will contribute to next-generation submarine tactical systems and combat system modernization efforts supporting the U.S. Navy. You will provide direct technical and programmatic support to Navy program leadership, with a focus on submarine combat system upgrades, modernization initiatives, and weapons system integration efforts. You will be responsible for developing detailed technical and programmatic products, consolidating information from multiple stakeholders, preparing executive-level briefing materials, reviewing test and evaluation documentation of combat system computer hardware, and assisting program leadership in informing senior Navy, Department of Defense, and Congressional decision-makers. You will possess operational, engineering, or acquisition experience with submarine combat systems and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously while working independently in a fast-paced environment. Work Location: Onsite: Washington, DC

Travel: Up to 25%

Clearance: Active Secret required, TS eligible preferred

Required Experience: 

Minimum of 5 years of Department of Defense experience.
Operational, acquisition, or engineering experience supporting combat systems and weapons control systems.
Experience supporting submarine combat systems, naval weapons systems, or related defense programs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience preparing reports, technical products, and executive-level briefings.
Ability to work effectively with minimal direction and supervision.

Desired Experience: 

More than 7 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Operational submarine experience.
Experience with submarine fire control systems, including AN/BYG-1.
Experience supporting submarine weapons systems.
Experience with AEGIS Combat System.
Experience supporting Navy acquisition programs and program offices.
Demonstrated junior leadership experience.

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000-$130,000. This range represents a good-faith estimate and is not a guarantee; final compensation is determined by factors such as experience, qualifications, and government contract labor rate requirements and may fall outside the stated range. In addition to base pay, Ventus offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), ESOP participation, retirement plans, and generous paid time off.
