Overview

We are seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) with 4–7 years of experience to support the design, development, and integration of the RF Scene Generator system using model-based methodologies. This role will focus on developing and maintaining system models to improve program execution, reduce risk, and enhance system understanding across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain system models using MBSE methodologies (e.g., SysML, UML).

Support system architecture development, requirements decomposition, and traceability within modeling environments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and test engineering to ensure system integration and consistency.

Perform trade studies and analysis to support system design decisions.

Maintain digital engineering artifacts in accordance with program and customer requirements.

Support verification and validation (V&V) activities through model-based approaches.

Assist in configuration management and change control processes for system models.

Provide technical input for program reviews, design reviews, and customer briefings.

Ensure compliance with DoD standards and digital engineering strategies.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications & Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited institution required.

4–7 years of experience in systems engineering, with demonstrated experience in MBSE.

Hands-on experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or similar.

Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle processes (requirements, design, integration, verification).

Strong understanding of radar systems, functionality, and target phenomenologies.

Experience with SysML and/or UML modeling languages.

Experience supporting DoD or government programs.

Familiarity with digital engineering environments and frameworks.

Experience with tools such as DOORS, JIRA, or other requirements/configuration management tools.

Knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, UAF).

INCOSE Certification (e.g., ASEP, CSEP).

Experience with Agile or DevSecOps environments.

U.S. Citizenship with Active TS/Secret Security clearance and ability to maintain required clearance.

Physical Description

Employees in these positions will function in a general office/cubicle setting environment, and laboratory/testing setting using standard office equipment and various electronic testing equipment, including a computer, telephone, printers, video equipment, computer software and testing equipment. Will interact in a general office setting environment with various personnel; participate in meetings and contribute to team success; deliver timely results and produce reports; receive and communicate information; may include telework. May function in a specialized laboratory/testing environment using electronic testing equipment, computer software and complex systems. May move and test equipment of various weights. Laboratory environment may require use of protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses and protective hearing and footwear. May be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization due to business demands; travel occasionally for assigned work.
