Job description

The law firm Maier Gutierrez & Associates is currently looking for a junior or mid-level associate attorney with a focus in personal injury. The ideal candidate will provide legal services and ensure outstanding service to our clients in both practice areas. Please send your resume to Firm Administrator Charity Johnson.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and draft pleadings and motions
  • Draft discovery and responses to discovery
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Respond to clients regarding litigation status
  • Monitor important deadlines and maintain a case calendar
  • Work on special projects as needed
  • Arbitrations and trials

Preferred skills:

  • Analytical verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Excellent computer and research skills
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage a heavy workload and meet court deadlines

Education requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited university
  • Member in good standing of the Nevada Bar
