LP Services is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and people-focused Human Resources & Training Partner.


This position partners closely with service leadership to support employees throughout the entire employment lifecycle from recruiting and onboarding to benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, and professional development. This role will also oversee the company's NCCER training program, helping employees build successful careers through technical training and continuous learning.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Serve as the primary Human Resources contact for LP Services employees and managers.
  • Partner with leadership to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and policy interpretation.
  • Coordinate recruiting activities including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and hiring support.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities including new hire paperwork, I-9 compliance, orientation scheduling, and personnel file setup.
  • Administer employee benefits including enrollments, qualifying life events, employee education, and benefit communications.
  • Maintain employee records while ensuring confidentiality, compliance, and data accuracy.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, company events, and internal communications.
  • Assist with investigations, disciplinary documentation, and conflict resolution while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies.
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance the employee experience and operational efficiency.


Training & Employee Development

  • Serve as the administrator and primary point of contact for the NCCER Training Program.
  • Coordinate apprentice enrollment, testing, certifications, and training documentation.
  • Schedule instructors, classes, testing sessions, and continuing education opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate training records and certification tracking.
  • Partner with managers to identify employee development opportunities.
  • Assist in creating and implementing career development pathways.
  • Coordinate technical, safety, leadership, and professional development training.
  • Support succession planning and workforce development initiatives.
  • Build relationships with local trade schools, workforce development organizations, and community partners to strengthen recruiting pipelines.


Performance Management

  • Coordinate annual and mid-year performance review cycles.
  • Track completion deadlines and communicate expectations to managers.
  • Provide managers with guidance on performance conversations and documentation.
  • Monitor completion rates and follow up on outstanding reviews.
  • Assist leadership in identifying training opportunities based on review outcomes.


Administrative Responsibilities

  • Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, and HR communications.
  • Maintain organized employee files and HR documentation.
  • Assist with audits and compliance initiatives.
  • Special HR projects as assigned.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with all employee information.

  • Construction or service industry experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or NCCER Instructor/Administrator experience is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
