Structural Analysis Engineer (Associate or Mid- Level)

The 787 Interiors Stress Team in Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring for an Associate or Mid-Level Structural Analysis Engineer to work at our North Charleston, SC location.

This is a great opportunity to work in the Commercial Airplanes South Carolina Design Center, as a Structural Analysis Engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs basic structural analysis for composite and metallic material systems using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.

  • Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.

  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.

  • Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

  • 2 years of experience working in relevant fields of the engineering industry

  • 1 year of experience performing engineering analysis

  • Prior experience working on projects with supply chain engagement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • (Mid-Level- Level 3)5 years of experience performing structural analysis in the relevant fields of the engineering industry

  • 1 year performing structural analysis on Interiors or secondary structures

  • 1 year of experience working on projects with supply chain engagement

  • Prior experience performing engineering oversight of supporting production issues related to Interiors or secondary structures

  • Prior experience supporting test programs for Interiors structures

  • Prior experience with regulatory requirements related to aircraft interiors
