SkillBridge Program Description: ****

As one of the largest global security companies in the world, Northrop Grumman is proud to help our nation’s military personnel navigate their next chapter into civilian careers. Approximately 20%of Northrop Grumman’s 100,000 employees self-identify as veterans, and more than 2,000 are reservists.

The Northrop Grumman SkillBridge Program is an approved SkillBridge Program under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. The program is an opportunity for service members preparing for civilian careers to gain valuable civilian work experience during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. The SkillBridge Program is open to all ranks and experience levels. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Northrop Grumman, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members . ****

Responsibilities for SkillBridge Program participation are:

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has developed the Northrop Grumman – SkillBridge Program (SkillBridge) utilizing the DoDI guidance for SkillBridge. Through this program, the service-member will work on site with their host company, gaining experience in an entry to mid-level career path. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week. Outlined below are the Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes for the program.

Goals – Provide separating service-members with job skills training in a professional setting during the final phase of their military service. This program is specifically designed to offer hands-on experience that result in the potential to convert to a full-time opportunity as the conclusion of the training. Participants will serve as a pipeline for high-speed, motivated military candidates into NGC.

Objectives - Service Members who complete the SkillBridge program will be highly trained, capable, future employees that align to the specific needs of the organization and are prepared to meet the NG mission “Defining Possible” on Day 1. This program provides comprehensive hands-on experience including professional development, networking with leadership, and training specifically focused on NG leadership principles, company history, customer/stakeholder engagement, product and service overview, and core job responsibilities.

Outcome – Offer service-members preparing for civilian careers a rewarding opportunity to join the Northrop Grumman team.

SkillBridge Eligibility:
  • Has served at least 180 days on active duty
  • Is within12 monthsof separation or retirement
  • Will receive an honorable discharge
  • Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS
  • Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
  • Received Unit Commander(first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command)written authorization and approval toparticipateinSkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.

As an Industrial Security Analyst – Level 3 or Level 4 located in Aurora, CO , you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

The Industrial Security Analyst – Level 3 or Level 4 will serve as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and support all security activities and operations. The selected candidate will be a member to our Program Security Team and regularly collaborate with colleagues across multiple locations. They will ensure security compliance with government and company regulations and strive for excellence in executing security milestones in several security disciplines (DoD, SAP, & SCI). They will also have the responsibility of administering comprehensive security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.

In this job, you will:

  • Support a fast-paced, high-profile program; creating, maintaining, and leveraging working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Author clear, comprehensive Concept-of-Operations (CONOPS) documents for a variety of security initiatives
  • Manage program security compliance and operations across multiple functions, including security SCIF and/or SAPF administration, PHYSEC, COMSEC, PERSEC, OPSEC, Contract Security, SETA, Investigations, Visitor Control, and Document Control Management
  • Develop and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders with security updates
  • Study and implement company and federal security policies, regulations, and procedures that apply to company operations
  • Provide Security support for ground surveys and mission operations
  • Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
  • Develop and implement security education programs. Conduct internal security audits. Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken
  • Ensure adherence to contractual guidance for classified programs and cleared facilities in accordance with the DD Form 254, DoD Contract Security Classification Specifications guidance
  • Assist program managers and professional staff in interpreting, applying, and complying with program Security Classification Guides (SCG)
  • Develop and implement OPSEC/ Program protection plans
  • Provide personnel security (PERSEC) support to include but not limited to reviewing and processing required documentation in support of SCI and SAP nomination processes; maintain PERSEC databases; prepare and administer program indoctrination and debriefings; access, review, and submit clearance and access information using the appropriate government database and other information systems
  • Provide facility security administration, documentation, and support: implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); conduct SCI and SAP security program self-inspections
  • Pursue and obtain customer accreditation for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and Special Access Program Facilities (SAPFs) in accordance with SCI and SAP DoD Manuals, IC Tech Spec, and other government requirements
  • Manage and maintain UL-2050 Compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and automated Access Control Systems (ACS)
  • Other duties as assigned

This position can be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience
  • Will consider an additional four years of professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access
  • Must have knowledge and familiarity with the CFR 32 part 117 (NISPOM); Intelligence Community Directives (ICD); DoD Manuals, and other related security requirements
  • Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) experience working within a SCIF or SAPF
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Desktop Computer and Microsoft Office products
Basic Qualifications for Level 4:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of professional experience
  • Will consider an additional four years of professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Requires an active U.S. Government DoD T op-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access
  • Must have knowledge and familiarity with the CFR 32 part 117 (NISPOM); Intelligence Community Directives (ICD); DoD Manuals, and other related security requirements

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00
