*We are not considering Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements for this position
Description:
The Front-End Web Developer will support the ongoing user experience (UX) design, front-end development, and support needs for enterprise web applications and websites developed for NCDOT and NCDMV. This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing accessible, responsive, and user-friendly web interfaces that support critical business processes and public-facing services. The position will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure consistency, accessibility, usability, and performance across enterprise web solutions.
This position plays a key role in supporting the growing demand for UX design and front-end development services across NCDOT and NCDMV. The developer will help ensure enterprise web applications remain accessible, visually consistent, and aligned with organizational standards while supporting business-critical initiatives involving SharePoint, ServiceNow, SAP, Drupal Digital Commons, Ferry Division automation projects, and other agency solutions.
Responsibilities:
  • Create, update, and maintain web components, user interface prototypes, and front-end application features.
  • Develop responsive and accessible web solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Build user interfaces for enterprise applications, websites, and content management system platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and best practices, including WCAG requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain consistent user interface standards and design patterns.
  • Develop and maintain reusable UI components and front-end frameworks.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, accessibility, and user experience.
  • Integrate front-end solutions with enterprise systems such as SAP, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and related platforms.
  • Support AI-assisted development and workflow automation initiatives.
  • Conduct training sessions, demonstrations, and webinars for business users regarding developed applications, websites, and tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve front-end development, usability, and accessibility issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to UX design, front-end architecture, and web standards.
