Job description

Mid Level Cloud Engineer
Remote
Changeis, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Engineer to support enterprise IT shared services operations within a cabinet-level federal agency environment. This role involves managing cloud infrastructure, resolving incidents, and delivering technical solutions of moderate complexity within an enterprise Common Operating Environment.

The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience designing, planning, and integrating cloud computing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer cloud infrastructure for the enterprise Common Operating Environment on a daily basis

  • Resolve incident tickets of moderate complexity, analyzing a variety of contributing factors

  • Design and plan cloud computing solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards

  • Integrate cloud services with existing on-premises and hybrid infrastructure

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve cloud service disruptions

  • Document technical solutions, runbooks, and standard operating procedures

  • Support capacity monitoring and recommend scaling adjustments

Required Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience designing, planning, and integrating cloud computing systems

  • Solid cloud computing skills in at least one major platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Experience resolving technical problems of moderate scope involving multiple factors

  • Familiarity with cloud networking, storage, and compute services

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal public trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Administrator (AZ-104), or equivalent

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)

  • Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA)

  • ITIL Foundation certification
