Job description

  • Access to high volume ASC performing 2200 total joints a year
  • ASC includes 2 Mako Robots, 2 Hana tables, fluoroscopy, and highly experienced support staff (including first assists)
  • Full complement of ancillaries (X-Ray, PT, MRI, EMG, DME, ESI)
  • Growing ancillary draw (Imaging, Injections, DME, Rehab)
  • Large catchment area spreading over 3 hours away
  • 3-4 days of call a month (Level 3 Trauma or lower hospitals)
  • Highly encouraged early PA support, with salary assistance

Bluegrass Orthopaedics are seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified, or board-eligible Fellowship-Trained Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Orthopedic Surgeon.

About Bluegrass Orthopaedics (BGO):

Bluegrass Orthopaedics (BGO) is Kentuckys leading provider of expert musculoskeletal care which serves the needs of its patients through a team of highly trained sub-specialists who are committed to the independent practice of medicine. Centered in Lexington, Kentucky, BGO has 12 sub-specialty physicians, 16 mid-level providers, 5 main office locations, 2 satellites, in-office X-Ray and MRI, outpatient surgery center, and 5 rehabilitation suites.

The total joint service line is currently comprised of 3 physicians and 5 mid-level providers. Centered in Lexington, Kentucky, BGO has 12 sub-specialty physicians, 16 mid-level providers, 5 main office locations, 2 satellites, in-office X-Ray and MRI, outpatient surgery center, and 5 rehabilitation suites. 

BGO provides care to patients throughout the Bluegrass and Southern Kentucky region. We provide care for an immediate drawing area of approximately 630,000+ in the surrounding counties and an additional 500,000+ in our satellite catchment areas.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be board certified or eligible
  • Must be able to obtain state medical license
  • Must be fellowship-trained
  • BLS required
