Job description

The US leveraged finance group of the finance practice is seeking a middle to senior level associate to join our team. Located in the world's key financial hubs, the finance practice operates one of the leading global finance practices with more than 450 lawyers located in 30 offices. Our US leveraged finance team is a fully integrated cross-office national practice that represents lenders, private equity sponsors and public and private company borrowers, both domestically and abroad, in all aspects of lending transactions, including acquisition finance and asset-based lending. Associates on the US leveraged finance team will have opportunities to work on a highly varied portfolio of transactions for clients on both the borrower and lender side, including acquisition finance, lines of credit for public and private companies, syndicated TLA/TLB transactions, private credit transactions, note purchase agreement private placements and sovereign debt financings.
Among other things, ideal candidates will have significant transactional experience in bank financing transactions and related UCC matters, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and build long-term relationships with sophisticated client teams, a commitment to excellence and a desire to contribute to an energetic, friendly and collegial culture within our corporate and finance group and firm as a whole. We have a preference for candidates to be located in our New York or Washington DC offices but will also consider candidates with at least three years of directly relevant experience for our Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia or Silicon Valley offices.

The expected base salary range for this role is $260,000 to $365,000 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate's qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual performance bonuses and discretionary bonuses. Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm, subject to applicable plan terms and conditions, which currently include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; and paid time off.
