Mid Level Amazon Dsp information

What is a mid level Amazon DSP?

Mid Level Amazon DSPs, or Delivery Service Partners, are companies or individuals who operate delivery businesses that contract with Amazon to deliver packages. At the mid-level, these DSPs have typically gained some experience in running their operations, managing a fleet of delivery vans, and leading driver teams. They are responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining safety standards, and meeting Amazon’s performance metrics. Mid Level DSPs often focus on optimizing their operations and expanding their business within Amazon’s logistics network.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a mid level Amazon DSP driver?

To thrive as a Mid Level Amazon DSP driver, you need a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, familiarity with local routes, and experience in delivery or logistics roles. Competence with handheld delivery devices, GPS navigation systems, and safety protocols is important. Reliability, time management, customer service skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure help drivers excel. These skills ensure efficient, safe, and accurate deliveries while maintaining a positive customer experience.

What are common challenges faced by mid level Amazon DSP drivers, and how are they typically addressed?

Mid-level Amazon DSP (Delivery Service Partner) drivers often encounter challenges such as navigating tight delivery timelines, adapting to route changes, and managing a high volume of packages, especially during peak seasons. To address these challenges, DSPs provide drivers with route optimization tools, ongoing training, and support from dispatch teams. Additionally, experienced drivers often develop efficient packing and delivery routines, and collaborate with their fellow drivers to share tips and resolve on-the-job issues, fostering a supportive team environment.

What is the difference between Mid Level Amazon Dsp vs Amazon Delivery Associate?

Mid Level Amazon Dsp roles typically involve managing delivery routes and supervising delivery staff, requiring some experience and leadership skills. In contrast, Amazon Delivery Associates focus on delivering packages directly to customers, with less managerial responsibility. Both roles require a valid driver's license and background checks, but the Dsp position often involves more operational oversight.

Is it hard to get a mid level Amazon DSP job?

Securing a mid-level Amazon DSP position typically requires relevant experience in logistics, delivery operations, or management, along with strong organizational and communication skills. Candidates often need to demonstrate familiarity with delivery technology, safety protocols, and sometimes certifications like a valid driver's license. The hiring process can be competitive but is generally accessible to those with the appropriate background and skills.

What are Mid Level Amazon DSP entry-level positions?

Mid Level Amazon DSP entry-level positions typically include roles such as Delivery Associate or Delivery Driver, which involve operating delivery vehicles, managing routes, and ensuring timely package delivery. These positions often require a valid driver's license, basic navigation skills, and the ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment.

Flywheel

Job Function:

Consulting

Job Subfunction:

Business and Change Consulting

Job Description:

About Flywheel
Flywheel's suite of digital commerce solutions accelerate growth across all major digital marketplaces for the world's leading brands. We give clients access to near real-time performance measurement and improve sales, share, and profit. With teams across the Americas, Europe and APAC, we offer a career with real impact, endless growth opportunities and the support you need to be the best you can be.
Perpetua provides retail media optimization and market intelligence technology for the world's leading eCommerce brands. As part of the Flywheel suite, Perpetua focuses specifically on challenger brands and the agencies who serve them, delivering both fully managed programmatic services and SaaS solutions for the Amazon DSP.
We're looking for a Sr. Director of Programmatic Services to lead our programmatic services business line end-to-end. This is a revenue leadership role: you will own the P&L performance, client outcomes, and operational execution of a roughly 20-person team delivering managed media and technology solutions on the Amazon DSP. You'll report directly to the GM of the Perpetua business and join the Perpetua Leadership Team, with a direct hand in shaping the trajectory of the business.
What You Will Do:
Business Accountability & Strategy | Client Relationship Management
Lead the Perpetua Programmatic Services business line, a team of roughly twenty spanning campaign management, ad operations, and client services, with full accountability for revenue, margin, and client retention.
Own the business line's commercial performance: manage media budgets, forecast revenue, and report on outcomes with the rigor expected of a P&L owner.
Partner closely with Product to shape the development of Perpetua's programmatic optimization and reporting platform, ensuring it reflects real client needs and competitive realities across the Amazon DSP and beyond.
Maintain deep knowledge of the competitive landscape for Amazon DSP campaign technology, both SaaS platforms and managed service alternatives, and translate that into strategic positioning for Perpetua.
Set and enforce a high bar for service quality and team performance, with clear KPIs, active performance management, and a culture of accountability.
Build and continuously improve the operational infrastructure of the business: client-facing reporting, team capacity planning, workflow design, and ad operations best practices.
Serve as a senior client relationship owner, building trust at the executive level, acting as a strategic advisor, and driving long-term retention and growth across the book of business.
Own the Amazon Ads partnership on behalf of Perpetua's programmatic business, defining the operating model between our team and Amazon Ads AEs to grow media investment through the platform.
Stay ahead of shifts in the programmatic and retail media ecosystem, regulatory, technological, and competitive, and bring that perspective into how the business operates and where it invests.
Partner with Marketing and Sales to ensure our programmatic offerings are clearly understood and well-positioned in market.
Team Leadership & Development
Build and sustain a high-performing, collaborative team culture grounded in accountability, continuous improvement, and genuine care for people.
Drive efficiency and performance through better processes, smarter use of automation, and thoughtful workload management.
Own hiring, onboarding, and coaching across the team; ensure training programs are effective and evolving.
Manage team leads directly, building clear career paths, providing regular feedback, and developing the next generation of leadership within the business.
Who You Are:
8+ years in digital media, with at least 5 in programmatic advertising and retail media, including significant experience owning or leading a services delivery function with growing scope and responsibility.
Deep domain expertise in programmatic media: DSPs, DMPs, ad exchanges, data privacy, and the mechanics of campaign execution. Amazon DSP experience is a strong asset.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity. You know how to prioritize across competing demands in a fast-moving business without waiting for perfect information.
Quick to learn new technologies and stay current with how the retail media, eCommerce, and adtech landscape is evolving.
A natural relationship builder: consultative, credible with senior clients, and skilled at translating business needs into strategies that deliver.
A track record of execution: growing revenue, retaining clients, hitting targets, and holding a team to a high standard without micromanaging.
Strong commercial instincts and analytical skills. You understand how a services business makes money and where the levers are.
A clear, compelling communicator who can operate at the executive level, internally and externally, with equal fluency.
Action-oriented, with the energy and persistence to push through obstacles and drive outcomes.
Solutions-minded: not just good at diagnosing problems, but relentless about solving them.
Experienced people leader with a genuine ability to coach, develop, and get the best out of a team.
A team-first operator who cares about the broader success of the business, not just their own function.
Intellectually curious, never content with the status quo, and energized by the opportunity to build something better.
Self-directed. Doesn't need to be told what to do next.
Working at Flywheel
