Accountant Position Overview

ProForce Law Enforcement is an innovative leader in Law Enforcement equipment and firearms. Recognized for our excellence in creative marketing, technology, and world-class customer service. ProForce is currently seeking an Accountant to join our hardworking Administration team at our Support Center in Prescott, AZ.


Under supervision of the Accounting Manager, this position performs and supports general accounting duties, financial reporting, reconciliation, budget support, and analysis. The role assists with maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, monthly financial statements, budget support activities and compliance with accounting standards and federal regulations. Entry to mid-level accounting role focused on general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Involvement in external audits is limited to more straightforward items; supports preparation efforts.


Accountant Responsibilities include

ยท Assists in the monthly and fiscal year-end processes including work papers, reconciliations, and account analysis

ยท Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger for various financial transactions which may include cash receipts, disbursements, receivables, payables, fixed assets, etc.

ยท Reconciles various functional areas which may include fixed assets, bank accounts, account receivables, etc.

ยท Perform complex account and bank reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution

ยท Perform other accounting, budget, payroll, or clerical duties as assigned

The Ideal Accountant Candidate Would Possess

ยท Associateโ€™s degree in accounting (bachelorโ€™s is a plus)

ยท 3+ years of general accounting experience

ยท A solid understanding of general accounting principles

ยท A demonstrated ability for planning and organization skills, handling multiple tasks, and working in a fast-paced environment

ยท The ability to communicate in a professional and articulate manner with internal and external contacts at all levels

ยท Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Functions and pivot tables preferred

ยท A strong attention to detail โ€“ with double-checking and follow through as a standard

ยท Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays at month end
