Warehouse Forklift Operator - 1st Shift

Olathe - Olathe, KS 66051

Overview

Salary Range $21.00 - $21.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Travel Percentage None Category Warehouse

Description

Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role involves loading outbound trucks, stocking inbound materials, assisting with inventory counts, and keeping the warehouse clean and organized. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and have experience with forklift operation, we want to hear from you!

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am - 4:45pm

Pay: $21/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock incoming materials in designated warehouse locations
  • Pull customer orders accurately from inventory
  • Load company and customer vehicles with outbound materials
  • Safely operate a forklift to handle materials
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse (sweeping, trash removal, etc.)
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures (e.g., PPE, Lock Out/Tag Out)
  • Assist with regular inventory counts
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and shipping documents
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills
  • Able to pass a forklift operator's test following standard training
  • Previous experience with building materials is a plus

Physical Requirements: This position requires frequent physical activity, including:

  • Standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, and climbing stairs/ladders
  • Lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs. frequently; occasionally over 100 lbs.
  • Frequent pushing/pulling of up to 100 lbs.
  • Constant use of hands/arms/legs for material handling and machine operation

Work Environment: This is a physically demanding role in a warehouse setting. Appropriate safety gear (e.g., safety glasses, ear protection) is required at all times.
