POSITION OVERVIEW

Alpha Electric Supply is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused Truck Driver (CDL B) / Warehouse Associate to support both delivery and warehouse operations.

This position is responsible for delivering electrical materials and supplies to customer locations throughout Oahu, while also assisting with warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, pulling orders, loading trucks, inventory control, and general warehouse duties. Depending on operational needs, employees may spend part of their day making deliveries and part of their day working in the warehouse.

The ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Driving Responsibilities
  • Operate commercial vehicles requiring a CDL Class B license in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Deliver electrical supplies, conduit, wire, lighting products, switchgear, and other electrical materials to customer job sites and company locations.
  • Load, unload, and secure materials for safe transportation.
  • Verify delivery quantities and obtain customer signatures as required.
  • Maintain driver logs and records in accordance with federal, state, and company requirements.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch and supervisors regarding delivery schedules and instructions.
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean, safe, and professional condition.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
Warehouse Responsibilities
  • Receive, unload, inspect, and stock incoming inventory.
  • Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Load delivery trucks and customer vehicles.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory control, and warehouse organization.
  • Maintain accurate inventory locations and records.
  • Assist customers with order pickups.
  • Keep warehouse and yard areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess a valid Hawaii Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class B).
  • Must provide a current driving abstract.
  • Previous commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, delivery, or distribution experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move electrical materials and products.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED preferred. Previous commercial driving, warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or distribution experience is preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, lift, carry, push, pull, and reach. The employee must frequently lift and move electrical materials, boxes, conduit, wire, lighting products, and other inventory items.

Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position involves a combination of warehouse work and driving throughout Oahu. Employees may work in warehouse, yard, customer, and construction site environments and may be exposed to varying weather conditions, moving equipment, and active job sites. The noise level is generally moderate.
