In the role of MicroStrategy Administrator, you will lead the administration and maintenance of MicroStrategy servers from OS and MicroStrategy tool perspective. You will also play an important role in capacity planning & monitoring, performance tuning for MicroStrategy infrastructure. You will be needed for defining and implementing the procedures for migration of MicroStrategy application and configuration objects from QA to production. You will be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

  • Hands on experience on Installation, configuration and deployment of MicroStrategy tool and clients.
  • Perform MicroStrategy security and administration for all internal and external users including the creation / modification of MicroStrategy roles, LDAP groups, and user interface portals.
  • Handle the implementation, testing, and documentation of new and updated MicroStrategy reporting/Configuration packages to be moved into staging / production environment
  • Implement patches and other day-to-day MicroStrategy content administration tasks including creating folders/reports/users and migrating reports/folders/users from Dev to QA to Production.
  • Support all MicroStrategy configuration requirements for new clients and client database migrations including working with DBAs to set up and test new data sources used by MicroStrategy, creating new MicroStrategy security roles, and setting up new user security and reporting interfaces for users.
  • Assist internal and external clients with demos and troubleshoot problem reports.
  • Support developers by troubleshooting reporting issues related to MicroStrategy configurations and/or cubes/reports/dashboards
  • Set up web interface for MicroStrategy, including building Application Server instances e.g. WebSphere profiles, deployments, WebAdmin configurations
  • Set up Operations Managers and Enterprise Manager set up
  • Set up monitoring and alerts notifications for key performance indicators for the MicroStrategy infrastructure
  • Be conversant with the tools in MicroStrategy suite e.g. Developer, Command Manager, Architect, Object Manager, License Manager
  • Experience in Capacity sizing/Planning of MicroStrategy infrastructure components
  • Hands on experience on Linux/UNIX operating systems.
  • Experience in SQL troubleshooting, report failures, project and Intelligence server level governing settings and their impacts.
  • Analytical and Communication skills.
  • Hands on experience on creating dynamic dashboards, visualizations using dynamic dashboards, metrics auditing
  • Hands on experience on Report and Dashboard development
  • Hands on experience on MicroStrategy SDK environment

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :-

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education
  • At least 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence
  • At least 4 years of experience with MicroStrategy.
