About the Role

We are seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to support and maintain mission-critical Microsoft SQL Server environments. This role is ideal for a hands-on database professional who enjoys ensuring the performance, reliability, security, and availability of enterprise systems.

The DBA will play a critical role in database administration, performance optimization, backup and recovery planning, and high availability solutions. This is a primarily remote position with occasional on-site support requirements in the Indianapolis area when needed. Hours will vary based on business needs, making this an excellent opportunity for someone seeking supplemental consulting work or a flexible part-time engagement.

What You'll DoDatabase Administration & Reliability

Manage and maintain enterprise SQL Server environments to support business-critical applications.

  • Install, configure, maintain, patch, and upgrade SQL Server environments.
  • Perform routine database maintenance, including index rebuilds, integrity checks, and statistics updates.
  • Monitor database health, storage utilization, alerts, and growth trends.
  • Manage database security, permissions, encryption, and access controls.
Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting
