Position Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of store operations, including leading a team, driving sales, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering outstanding customer service. This individual plays a key leadership role in building a performance-driven culture that aligns with Batteries Plus' mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:
    • Recruit, train, coach, and motivate a high-performing team.
    • Set performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
    • Foster a positive and productive team environment.
  • Sales & Customer Service:
    • Meet or exceed sales and profitability goals.
    • Ensure every customer receives outstanding service through all touchpoints.
    • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Store Operations:
    • Oversee daily store operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and compliance.
    • Maintain accurate records for sales, labor, scheduling, and inventory.
    • Ensure proper execution of safety and security procedures.
  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor and control expenses to meet or exceed budget goals.
    • Accurately process daily transactions and bank deposits.
    • Utilize reports and KPIs to identify areas of improvement.
  • Technical Services:
    • Support and oversee technical services such as device repair and battery testing/installation.
    • Ensure all team members are properly trained on technical services and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • 2+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a specialty retail environment preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
  • Technical aptitude with interest in electronics, repair, or automotive a plus
