IT Software Developer III
Power Platform & Microsoft Access
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA, near Union Station
Schedule: Hybrid, onsite Monday & Tuesday
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, alternating Fridays off
 
Position Overview

SuperbTech is seeking an experienced IT Software Developer III to provide development, administration, modernization, and production support for enterprise business applications. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Access, VBA, Microsoft Power Platform, relational database programming, reporting, and web application development. A key focus of the position will be supporting existing Microsoft Access applications and converting legacy Access applications to Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
 
The ideal candidate will also have exposure to .NET, C# or VB.NET, AI-driven development using Microsoft Foundry or Copilot, and GitHub Copilot.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, deploy, maintain, and support enterprise business applications using Microsoft Access and VBA.
  • Develop low-code applications using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power BI Service/Report Builder, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
  • Convert and modernize legacy Microsoft Access applications to Power Platform.
  • Design, develop, and publish reports using Power BI and related reporting technologies.
  • Develop and maintain relational database components, including views, stored procedures, PL/SQL packages, functions, triggers, cursors, and complex SQL queries.
  • Design and develop custom software and reporting solutions utilizing complex relational database environments.
  • Develop and support web applications and web-based enterprise solutions.
  • Develop application business logic and data validation within the appropriate GUI, middle-tier, or database layer.
  • Develop and support data marts, ETL processes, and Business Intelligence dashboards.
  • Test, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application, database, reporting, and production issues.
  • Develop prototypes and evaluate technical solutions using independent judgment.
  • Participate on project teams and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, software development practices, and enterprise application approaches.
  • May provide technical guidance and coordinate or review the work of other technical staff.
 

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Access and VBA.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including: 
    • Power Apps
    • Power BI Service
    • Power BI Report Builder
    • Power Automate
    • Dataverse
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Access.
  • Strong SQL and relational database programming experience.
  • Experience with Oracle databases.
  • Experience developing relational database objects, including stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, views, and cursors.
  • Experience with HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and ASP.NET.
  • Experience with technologies including Umbraco, AWS, Webflow, Nintex Forms/Workflow/API, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop.
  • Experience developing and debugging enterprise reports.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and Unified Modeling Language concepts.
  • Knowledge of web development technologies and HTTP-based applications.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, including star schemas, dimensions, fact tables, ETL processes, and Business Intelligence dashboards.
  • Ability to develop prototypes, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and independently determine appropriate technical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality involving proprietary and personal information.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
