Job SummaryThe Manager - Microsoft Licensing is responsible for leading a team of Microsoft licensing professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving licensing subject matter expertise, and supporting the retention and growth of Microsoft customer relationships. This leader serves as a strategic advisor, enabling their team to engage customers in a consultative manner that maximizes the value of Microsoft investments, simplifies licensing complexity, and strengthens long-term customer loyalty.
The ideal candidate is a people-focused leader with strong Microsoft licensing knowledge, a passion for customer success, and the ability to develop high-performing teams that consistently deliver strategic guidance, operational excellence, and measurable business outcomes for both customers and the organization.

Role Description

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Microsoft licensing professionals focused on customer retention, licensing expertise, and account management excellence.

  • Build a high-performance, customer-centric culture that emphasizes consultative engagement, proactive support, and measurable customer outcomes.

  • Drive customer retention strategies by ensuring customers realize ongoing value from their Microsoft investments and contractual relationships.

  • Ensure the team delivers trusted advisor-level guidance across Microsoft licensing programs, cloud subscriptions, contract structures, and lifecycle management.

  • Partner with sales, customer success, solution specialists, and Microsoft stakeholders to develop account strategies that strengthen customer relationships and improve retention.

  • Establish performance metrics and accountability measures focused on customer satisfaction, retention, renewal attainment, and operational excellence.

  • Collaborate with leadership to identify customer trends, market opportunities, and process improvements that enhance the organization's Microsoft practice.

  • Support strategic business initiatives focused on increasing customer loyalty, improving contract retention rates, and expanding long-term customer value.

Other Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's degree or a related experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft licensing, sales support, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience in an account management or sales related field

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft licensing programs and processes

  • Experience presenting leadership, sales organizations, customers, or business stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated history of strong performance, achievement, and professional growth.

Certifications

  • Microsoft certifications must be maintained during employment

  • Additional certifications as required

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $150,000 - $250,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
