Job description

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Senior Intune Engineer to support a Department of State (DOS) customer. This senior-level Windows engineering position provides IT support in integrating and operating Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM) and Intune for managing and maintaining department endpoints. The preferred candidate will be a senior IT engineer with extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and MCM. Direct hands-on experience in providing Tier 3 support for MCM and Intune issues within a large government organization. The position will have a hybrid telework arrangement with on-site presence three days a week, at a secure government facility within the Washington metropolitan area. Work schedule will be Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Work location and schedule are subject to change based on government requirements. Responsibilities: Participate in a dedicated engineering team to configure, operate and maintain endpoint patching services with MCM and Intune AutoPatch at an enterprise level.
Identify and configure endpoint collections to be added to the Intune Rings for testing and production rollout.
Develop and generate tailored Intune performance reports.
Plan, package, and deploy recurring Windows quality and feature updates with Intune.
Support policy, app and device configuration management for endpoints, including test, deployment, and maintenance activities.
Develop Intune related technical documentation such as system administrator guides, knowledge articles, quick reference guides, SOPs, FAQs. Required Qualifications: Hands-on Microsoft system administrator experience in operating and maintaining Microsoft 365 services using Intune and MS Entra ID.
Prior experience in providing Tier 3 support for Intune, MCM, and Distribution Points.
Experience with configuring and maintaining Microsoft AzureArc in a hybrid environment.
Experience in packaging and deploying Windows and application patches using MCM.
Experienced with implementing and managing endpoints at scale using MCM, MS Intune, Windows Autopatch, and MS Entra ID for endpoint.
Experienced in developing complex status reports from multiple data sources using Power BI.
Bachelor degree in computer science or related field and 9 years or more of related experience or a Master degree and 7 to 12 years of related experience.
Must have an Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. Preferred Qualifications: PowerShell scripting and Group Policy management.
Prior work experience supporting U.S. government agencies.
