Job description

Overview

National Debt Relief is seeking an Operations Technician to join our growing technology team. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Operations Technician primary role is specializing in hardware deployment, responsible for managing and ensuring that proper deployment procedures are in place for new hardware. They are also responsible for creating and managing end user accounts, imaging, and profiling hardware devices, and providing proper training to end users on how to use the new hardware. This role also includes inventory management and decommissioning of all equipment returns, software licenses, and peripherals assigned. The candidate must be team oriented, customer service driven, with the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Package and ship IT equipment to remote employees.
  • Unbox, label, store, and update inventory.
  • Create and maintain end users accounts and mailboxes in Active Directory and Office 365.
  • Build workstations using company standard image and software.
  • Profile workstations for deployment to remote end users.
  • Provide IT onboarding training to new remote employees.
  • Maintain asset inventory of assigned and stock equipment and software licenses.
  • Process returned equipment from current and former employees.
  • Conduct Windows OS upgrades, software installation, and maintenance as needed.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of knowledgebase articles for IT staff and employees.
  • Work on special tasks and participate in projects as required.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred.
  • 1-year experience in a help desk, IT operations, or end user support position required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven experience supporting a large environment comprised of Windows OS and Mac OSX
  • Working knowledge and support of Microsoft office applications.
  • Prior experience creating and maintaining Active Directory user accounts and 0365 user mailboxes.
  • Prior experience providing remote user support.
  • Prior experience utilizing IT Ticketing systems.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical skills, and critical thinker.
  • Organized, team oriented, with go getter attitude.
  • Ability to deal effectively with competing priorities and demands.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to deal with staff at all levels.
  • Collaborative approach and strong relationship building skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Compensation InformationOur compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings.
