TheMicrosoft Exchange and Teams Engineerwill work on our Infrastructure Services Team to support Plante Moran'sinternalcommunications solutions, including Microsoft Exchange Online, email security, Microsoft Teams, voice services, video conferencing, and other communications solutions.We are seeking a candidate that is passionate about IT,has a strong customer service focus,enjoysidentifyingand evaluating emerging technologies,andhas a desire to work on impactfulunified communicationstechnology projects.

Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Responsible fordesigning,administering,andestablishingsystem standardsfor messaging and communicationteam solutionsincluding, but not limited to:
    • Microsoft Exchange Online, and email security
    • Microsoft Teams,with a focus on Unified Communications (Chat, Video, Voice, and Meetings)
    • Voice, Video Conferencing,and Fax services
  • Lead infrastructure and security related projects from idea generation to implementation,includingselection, recommendation, design, testing, and implementation of various solutions.
  • Provide support, analysis, and remediationon escalatedsupportincidents from our help desk on Microsoft ExchangeOnline, Outlook, Email Security (Phishing, Malware, SPAM), Microsoft Teams(including voice), telecommunications services, video conferencing, and other communications solutions.
  • Performsolutionadministration tasks,includingreviewing and monitoring event logs/performance KPIsand baselines.
  • Create andmaintainaccuratetechnical documentation.
  • Manage andmaintainpositive working relationships with vendors.
  • Develop andtestdisaster recovery, incident response,and business continuityplans. Capacityplanning and yearly budgeting.
  • As-needed participation in after-hours maintenance windows to update, change, and install varioussystems.
  • Occasional participation in theOn-Call Rotation.

The qualifications.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business,or related major is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will haveat least3years of experiencedesigning,implementingandmaintainingMicrosoftExchangeOnlineand email security solutions.
  • Working experience with eDiscovery,Litigation Hold, and complianceprocesses.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Knowledge ofexternalemail routing and configuration including MX records, SPF, DMARC, DKIM, etc.
  • Entra ID and familiarity with the Microsoft 365 / M365 suite of solutions.
  • This position may require occasionaltravel.
  • Knowledge of the following is notrequired, but will help you stand out:
    • Microsoft Teams(Focus on Unified Communications - Chat, Meetings, Video,Voice, e911)

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group.
