Job description

One Tech Engineering is searching for an E&C Engineer for a position located in Denver, Colorado. The E&C Engineer will support the company’s energy supply projects group to help manage capital projects at the power plants across the region.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and experience working in manufacturing/plant environment.

E&C Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Manage all emergent capital projects at the plant and support larger base and major capital projects.
  • Partner with reliability engineering to develop project scopes and justifications, submit requests through the company’s emergent capital process, and manage all approved projects.
  • Oversee approximately 20 small projects simultaneously while also assisting with larger base capital initiatives.
  • Work closely with operations and reliability engineering to understand plant systems, how they operate, and help plan future work to maintain plant reliability.
  • Attend daily POD meetings (internal morning meetings focused on daily critical tasks) and collaborate with operations and reliability personnel throughout the day.
  • Oversee contractors executing project work in the field.
  • Complete administrative project tasks, including developing scopes of work, writing technical specifications, obtaining equipment quotes, managing bids when necessary, and coordinating material deliveries and installation with the plant.

Requirements of the E&C Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or plant environment (e.g., power plant).
  • Previous Civil or Structural Engineering experience with a PE license is preferred.
  • Experience managing projects from cradle to grave.
  • Prior experience managing contractors.
  • Strong project management experience, including project plan development, charters, budgeting, and financial oversight.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality; demonstrates initiative, teamwork, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Completion of the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam preferred.
