Job Summary (Azure Cloud Sentinel Engineer)
- Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Sentinel SIEM/SOAR solutions in Azure cloud environments.
- Ingest and manage multiple security data sources (Syslog, CEF, APIs, Threat Intelligence) into Azure Log Analytics.
- Develop and tune KQL queries, analytics rules, alerts, and security dashboards.
- Build automated response playbooks with Azure Logic Apps and Microsoft Copilot for Security.
- Perform threat hunting, incident investigation, and response activities in collaboration with SOC teams.
- Implement and manage Azure security controls following Zero Trust principles.
- Assess vulnerabilities, analyze attacker TTPs, and support remediation of identified threats.
- Support cloud security governance, compliance, and audit activities, including FedRAMP and FISMA requirements.
- Provide security architecture guidance and contribute to overall cloud security strategy.
- Collaborate with government clients, auditors, and executive stakeholders as needed.
- Ensure security solutions align with government cybersecurity requirements and compliance frameworks.
- Utilize expertise in Microsoft Defender Suite, Azure Security and Identity Services, Privileged Access Management, and application security.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and cloud security best practices.
- Preferably possess Azure Government (GovCloud) experience and relevant certifications (CISSP, CCSP, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate, etc.).
- Leverage additional technical expertise in Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Purview, MIP, DLP, Key Vault, Entra ID (Azure AD), PIM, Conditional Access, Azure Lighthouse, and multi-cloud IAM.
- Require a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, and at least 5 years of relevant cybersecurity and Microsoft Sentinel experience.
