Job description

Specialty Building Products is currently looking for a strong Senior Full Stack Application Developer to join our VALUES based organization. This individual will play a leadership role in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade B2B business applications and eCommerce platforms using Microsoft Azure services and modern development frameworks.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in building and scaling full stack applications, integrating with backend business systems, and driving architectural improvements within a cross-functional environment.
This role will collaborate closely with the Azure Architect, System Administration, Networking, Security, Data Warehouse, and Application Development teams to implement solutions aligned with Microsoft best practices across our Azure tenant.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of full stack web applications using .NET (C#), React/TypeScript, and Python.
  • Architect and implement scalable solutions deployed to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure App Services.
  • Build backend integrations with Azure SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and Azure Blob Storage to support transactional and analytics-driven applications.
  • Develop event-driven and decoupled systems using Azure Service Bus and API-first development practices.
  • Design and deliver B2B commerce solutions including customer account portals, self-service ordering, pricing workflows, and ERP-integrated transactions.
  • Integrate B2B business systems (ERP, CRM, WMS) for seamless business process automation and data exchange.
  • Apply AI services including Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, and Document Intelligence to enhance business workflows and end-user experience.
  • Implement advanced caching strategies using Azure Cache for Redis to boost application performance.
  • Secure applications using Azure Key Vault for secrets management and integrate with identity providers via Okta OAuth.
  • Lead observability efforts with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics for diagnostics, alerting, and health checks.
  • Contribute to infrastructure automation using Terraform, ensuring reproducible and maintainable deployment pipelines.
  • Design and manage API lifecycle through Azure API Management, including governance, throttling, and policy enforcement.
  • Drive front-end architecture improvements with modern UX patterns and performance optimizations in React.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, lead technical discussions, mentor junior developers, and ensure delivery excellence.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical leads to gather requirements, provide estimates, and recommend solutions.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience building and supporting full stack applications in enterprise or eCommerce environments.
  • Expert-level proficiency in:
    • .NET C# 5+ yrs
    • Python 3+yrs
    • JavaScript/TypeScript 7+ yrs
      - React.js 7+ yrs
    • HTML/CSS 7+yrs
    • SQL Stored Procedure
      • Azure cloud services: AKS, App Services, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Blob Storage, ADF, Service Bus, Azure API Management, Key Vault, Redis, Azure Monitor, Azure Functions.

  • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols including OAuth2/OpenID with Okta or similar providers.
  • Demonstrated success delivering B2B commerce and enterprise application platforms with scalable architecture and deep system integrations.
  • Expertise in REST API design, microservices patterns, asynchronous messaging, and integration best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and Git version control.
  • Production experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft's Well-Architected Framework with proven ability to design secure, performant, and cost-effective systems.
