Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our growing team. We are proud to offer a $2,500 sign-on bonus to all new hires for this position.

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician II is "hands-on", has excellent diagnostic skills, can keep things running smoothly, work with contractors for maintenance tasks that are outside of core skill sets, develop a Preventive Maintenance (PM) plan, establish and maintain a spare parts inventory, and be an integral part of the team that plans and builds the next round of expansion. The work is fun, full of variety, and challenging. 
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoots and isolates equipment problems (mechanical and electrical). 
  • Implements repairs while minimizing impact to production. 
  • Establishes and adheres to preventive maintenance schedule using web based preventative maintenance software. 
  • Documents all maintenance and repair activities. 
  • Establish and maintain a spare parts inventory. 
  • Support for non-routine work hours. 
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. 
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and repair of the plant equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering. 
  • 5+ years of experience in installing and maintaining plant floor mechanical and electrical systems. 
  • Manufacturing, fermentation or chemical product operations experience highly desirable. 
  • Expertise with biotechnology operations including fermentation and CIP/SIP is preferred. 
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • Majority of work is conducted in a fermentation production facility and includes frequent exposure to wet, humid, dusty, and noisy conditions.
  • Work includes lifting (up to 50 lbs.), standing, walking, as well as occasional scooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • May be exposed to airborne particles and chemicals used in fermentation production facilities.
Safety Requirements:
  • Mandated use of company-issued uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Adherence to all company safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
