This position functions as a Senior Specialized Residential Placement Analyst and completes comprehensive review and analysis of complex behavioral and mental health needs for placement care and supervision of child system-involved youth requiring residential placement. The Specialized Residential and Intensive Community Placement section utilizes behavioral health strategies, connections with hospitals and works with the Behavioral and Physical Health and Aging Services Administration (BPHASA) to widen the scope with ensuring placements are successful and in compliance. Preferred education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in Social Welfare, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Family Ecology, Consumer/Community Services, Family and Child Development, Guidance and Counseling, Criminal Justice, Gerontology, Special Education, Education of the Emotionally Disturbed or Education of the Gifted

Experience Departmental Analyst 12 - Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service. Selective Position Requirement (SPR): Must possess at least three (3) years of professional child welfare experience gained within the last five (5) years. Alternate Education and Experience Departmental Analyst 9 - 12 - Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.

Grand Ave, Lansing, MI 48933/Hybrid. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan.

Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications.

If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including: A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions. A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
