Compensation: $18.57 - $20.70 / hour
Description
Schedule: Part Time | 20 hours per week | Varying hours | Monday - Friday, some weekends required, must be able to work until 7 pm
Department: Huron Valley PACE | Ypsilanti, MI | Home Care
Travel Requirements: This role involves regular travel between Washtenaw, Monroe, Western Wayne, Livingston, and parts of Oakland counties, providing Home-Based Care.
What You'll Do in This Role:Are you a compassionate caregiver with a heart for helping others? As a Home Care Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) providing in-home care, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our participants receive the highest quality care. From assisting with daily activities to providing comfort and companionship, your work will make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Hands-On Care in Their Home - Assist with personal care (ADLS) like bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Maintain Comfort & Care - Support housekeeping tasks such as laundry, sweeping, and grocery shopping.
  • Support Mealtime- Help participants enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for good health.
  • Keep Things Moving - Support mobility, including turning, positioning, and safe transfers.
  • Perform Vital Checks - Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
  • Maintain Comfort & Care - Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and well-stocked with essentials.
  • Provide Responsive Support - Respond with kindness and compassion.
  • Monitor with Watchful Eyes - Report any changes in conditions to the leadership ASAP.
  • Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism - Maintain confidentiality while delivering top-notch care.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be certified as a Certified Nurse Aide in the State of Michigan.
  • Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license.
  • Flexibility to provide coverage in the evening and on weekends.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the elderly.
  • CPR certification is desired or obtained within 3 months of employment.
