WHAT YOUโLL DO:ย
The Low Voltage Superintendentย is responsible forย overseeing field operations, ensuring efficient project execution, andย maintainingย high standardsย of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction across all low voltage installations. This role combines hands-on field leadership with oversight of planning, materials, workforce coordination, and project performance.ย
Key Responsibilitiesย
Field Operations & Executionย
- Lead and oversee daily low voltage installation activities across job sitesย ย
- Conduct site walks, inspections, and final project closeoutsย ย
- Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to field teamsย ย
- Ensure proper execution of installation standards and cabling practicesย ย
- Perform final walkthroughs andย validateย project completion qualityย ย
- Support TAC service requests including scheduling, advisory, and material preparationย ย
Project Oversight & Planningย
- Review PIKO submissions andย participateย in SIT meetingsย ย
- Oversee project plan development and execution strategyย ย
- Monitor installation progress and ensure alignment with project milestonesย ย
- Track milestone profitability andย identifyย risks or inefficienciesย ย
- Review progress updates, field communications, and reporting accuracyย ย
Scheduling & Coordinationย
- Develop and manage daily and weekly schedules for field teamsย ย
- Coordinate labor resources andย validateย apprentice assignments/requestsย ย
- Manage TAC SR scheduling and field service coordinationย ย
- Ensure alignment between field execution and PMO/customer expectationsย ย
Material & Asset Managementย
- Oversee material ordering and track delivery timelines (ETA)ย ย
- Manage stock material usage and ensure proper application in the fieldย ย
- Coordinate and verify material deliveries to job sitesย ย
- Maintain tool inventory, tracking, and accountabilityย ย
- Oversee warehouse organization, restocking, and material stagingย ย
Quality Control & Documentationย
- Review andย validateย data collection from field activitiesย ย
- Ensure accuracy of maps, as-builts, and final project documentationย ย
- Conduct cabling practiceย leadย reviews toย maintainย installation standardsย ย
- Oversee change order identification, notification, and creationย ย
Customer & Stakeholder Managementย
- Act as primary escalationย pointย for customer issues and drive resolutionย ย
- Provide regular customer updates and support PMO communicationsย ย
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and issue managementย ย
Communication & Reportingย
- Review and manage internal communication tools (e.g., chatter/updates)ย ย
- Ensureย timelyย andย accurateย reporting across all active projectsย ย
- Coordinate across teams to ensure transparency and accountabilityย ย
WHAT YOUโLL BRING:ย
Requiredย
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience in structured cabling and low-voltage systems ย
- Experience with Ethernet cabling, fiber optic installation/termination, and access control systemsย ย
- Knowledge of BICSI and ANSI/TIA standards (568/569/606/607)ย ย
- Proficiency with cable testing equipment (Fluke DSX or equivalent)ย ย
- Ability to read blueprints, one-lines, and technical diagramsย ย
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skillsย ย
- Valid driverโs license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work from ladders/lifts ย
Preferredย
- BICSI or fiber optic certificationย ย
- OSHA 10/30 certificationย ย
- Experience in access controlย ย ย
