We are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counseling Intern to become an integral part of our outpatient behavioral health team at Tree Of Hope, Ltd. • Conduct individual therapy sessions and facilitate group therapy discussions, utilizing effective therapeutic modalities that align with best practices.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
• Meticulously document all clinical interactions and treatment progress, adhering to strict legal and ethical standards established by the Washington State Department of Health.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision meetings to receive feedback, refine skills, and discuss case management strategies with licensed supervisors.
• Continuously evaluate and adjust treatment goals based on client feedback, therapeutic progress, and any emergent needs that might arise during therapy sessions.

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population facing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and adjustment issues. This exposure will enhance your understanding of various therapeutic approaches and equip you with the tools necessary to facilitate effective treatment and support.

• Applicants must possess an active intern license in Washington, such as Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) or Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFT Intern).
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust in a professional outpatient setting.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail in a clinical context.

Preferred candidates will have at least two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling or related fields, focusing on outpatient care. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and practices will also be advantageous, as it enhances service delivery and client engagement.
