Position Overview

The City of Hope Marriage & Family Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our innovative and compassionate team. This remote, full-time position allows you the flexibility to work from home while providing essential mental health services to clients in need. You will play a critical role in addressing a diverse range of psychological disorders and relational challenges, guiding individuals, couples, and families through their therapeutic journeys.

This position is set in a remote work environment, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a collaborative spirit among our clinical team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and establish individualized treatment plans for clients, ensuring that each client receives tailored care to meet their specific needs.
  • Provide regular therapeutic sessions, focusing on individual therapy for patients enrolled in the Functional Restoration Program (FRP), and continuously evaluate their progress through standardized measures.
  • Utilize a pain psychology framework to furnish clinical care, incorporating best practices that address the needs of clients coping with chronic pain and trauma.
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic health records, ensuring compliance with privacy and health safety regulations.
  • Establish rapport with clients and their families, creating a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship that encourages open communication and healing.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in making decisions that affect client care and ongoing treatment strategies.
  • Engage in regular supervision and collaborate with colleagues to review case management and therapeutic techniques, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves individuals grappling with relational issues, behavioral challenges, and mental health disorders, including those dealing with the intersection of emotional well-being and chronic pain. You will work with a varied client base that includes individuals, couples, children, and families, each facing unique situations that require a compassionate and informed approach.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • A valid LMFT license is required to practice in Washington State.
  • At least two years of direct experience providing mental health services, ideally in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • In-depth understanding of privacy and confidentiality regulations pertaining to mental health.
  • Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Exemplary organizational skills to manage caseloads and maintain precise documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with integrated therapeutic approaches that address chronic pain and trauma.
  • Experience using electronic health record systems and teletherapy platforms.
  • Coaching experience to facilitate positive behavioral changes in clients.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
