Job description

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is searching for a Delivery Truck Driver to join its team at its RMS Rentals Division in Savage, MN location. In this role, you will be responsible for driving a tractor trailer, manual rollback, or trailered construction equipment/cranes to and from job sites, along with loading and unloading the assigned equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • Deliver and pick up equipment safely and timely.
  • Provide exceptional customer service & communicate ETA of equipment to our customers.
  • Maintain daily and required DOT Truck Inspections, including preventative maintenance and truck cleanliness.
  • Process deliveries, returns, inbound & outbound inspections within the CDK system.
  • Equipment familiarization-tutorials for customers on job sites if requested.
  • Delivery and set up of Potain Cranes; willingness to help our crane team as needed onsite.
  • May require overnight travel with advance notice.


Qualifications/Skills:

  • Qualified individuals must have a valid Class A CDL license and two years commercial driving experience.
    • Driving a manual rollback will be required so candidate cannot be limited to automatic transmissions.
  • Successful pre-employment drug test, MVR, background checks and a Fit for Duty physical are required.
  • High school Diploma preferred.
  • Friendly and positive attitude.
  • Must be able to operate several types of construction equipment.
    • MEWP Operator Card & Forklift Operator Card preferred but not required.
  • Able to work responsibly, safely, and intelligently both alone and with others.
  • Positively engage with customers, co-workers, and vendors in a respectful manner.
