Job description

The Quad City Garage Policy group, an entity of MetroLINK Transit, is looking to hire a Full-Time Technician. Pay is $39.02 - $41.82, depending on qualifications. ASE certified techs receive an annual bonus.

Technicians maintain a fleet of compressed natural gas and electric buses. Technicians inspect, troubleshoot and diagnose causes of electrical and mechanical malfunctions, make repairs to electrical components and systems, perform heavy repair of brakes, suspension, engines and transmissions and examine vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required.

The Quad City Garage Policy Group offers competitive pay, excellent benefit package (paid sick, vacation, holiday pay, health, dental and life insurance and an employer matched defined contribution plan). Premium pay and annual bonus for ASE certification.

Candidates need to have a H.S. diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience. Completion of vocational or technical training strongly desired. Must be 21 years of age and have a valid drivers license. The Garage will provide paid CDL training and will pay for your CDL license.

Post job offer requirements include a criminal background and drivers license check, ability to obtain security clearance on the Rock Island Arsenal, pre-employment physical and Department of Transportation pre-employment drug screen.
