Metrolina Regional Scholars Academy seeks talented teacher to become part of our faculty. Problem based learning, real-world learning experiences; accelerated content, social-emotional learning, and intellectual engagement are at the core of the curricular program. The ideal teacher for this position is passionate about working with gifted children, committed to innovative pedagogy, and demonstrates a personal commitment to life-long learning. Requirements:
Position Requirements
โข Bachelor's Degree in related field
โข Experience working a school setting with elementary aged children
โข Demonstrated mastery in area of study and ability to teach within and across academic disciplines
โข Excellent communication skills
โข Be fully licensed or willing to obtain North Carolina teacher licensure
โข Has strong classroom management and organization skills
Desired Requirements
โข Hold an advanced degree in teaching area
โข Successful teaching experience in an elementary classroom
โข Experience teaching and/or working with gifted students
โข Are independent, reflective, flexible, and adaptable
โข Work comfortably with technology
โข Has a certification in teaching gifted students
