Metro Deliveries and Logistics is an Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP) from City of Industry.

Job Description

Overview:

As a member of Metro Deliveries & Logistics LLC, you will be responsible for delivering approximately 250+ packages per day during a 8-10 hour shift in all weather conditions in a company provided van within the Los Angeles Metro area. Must be a team player willing to work towards a common goal, providing a world class experience to the customer every time. On occasion, you will be called upon to assist other drivers that have fallen behind schedule. Uniforms, delivery devices and paid training program will be provided.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to function calmly and efficiently in a high-pressure, multi-tasking environment

- Load and unload products from company vehicles

- Deliver packages in a variety of locations and stops

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (don’t worry – most packages are lighter than that!)

- Must be able to get in and out of a van frequently - over 150+ stops (in all types of weather)

- Must be able to walk up flights of stairs

- Must be able to safely drive a high-roof van in rural, suburban and city areas.

- Ability to stand multiple hours a day and work in a physically demanding environment

Key Responsibilities:

- Successfully handle and deliver packages on time

- Safely drive company vehicle: (Sprinter/Pro-master/Ford Transit etc.)

- Work with the support team to provide exceptional customer service and address customer concerns

- Follow local and state driving laws and road regulations

- Operate scanner to record shipping and package information

Qualifications

Requirements:

- Be at least 21 years of age

- Have a valid driver's license

- Pass drug screening

- Must be available to work weekends

- Complete an initial phone interview

- Must have clean driving record (no more than 2 speeding tickets within the last 3 years and no more than one at fault accident)
