Metro Point Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a fully remote position. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive mental health care to patients dealing with trauma-related challenges. Work Environment

As a remote organization, we leverage advanced telehealth technology to connect with our patients, allowing for a dynamic and responsive approach to mental health care. You will work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance and having the ability to provide quality services from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial evaluations of patients' mental health needs and create tailored treatment plans based on their unique situations.
  • Engage in active listening to understand patients' concerns, effectively diagnosing mental and emotional disorders.
  • Develop workable coping strategies and treatment goals that align with each patientโ€™s aspirations for mental wellness.
  • Educate patients and the community on trauma recovery and stress management techniques.
  • Monitor individual progress throughout the treatment process and adjustment of care plans as necessary to meet changing needs.
  • Collaborate with social service agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure holistic support for your patients.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, pursuing continuing education courses to maintain your National Certified Counselor certification and stay informed about the latest best practices in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on trauma injury patients, many of whom are experiencing significant challenges in their mental and emotional lives. By addressing their specific needs and providing educated support, you play a pivotal role in not only alleviating their symptoms but also empowering them to move forward in their healing processes.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
  • Possession of a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential is essential for practice.
  • At least three years of clinical experience working specifically with trauma patients, demonstrating a solid track record of competent treatment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, along with familiarization with EMR systems. Experience with Salesforce is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, vital for effective patient interaction and documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices for trauma-informed care.
  • Previous involvement in community outreach programs or workshops focused on mental health education.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
