Job description

Description
Responsible for management of the beverage operation to include, Terrace grill, Beach Club, Crossroad Café, Member wine program, Member wine lockers and To/go deliver operations. Ensure a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of bars, storage spaces and dining operations. Work in collaboration with the Director of Food and Beverage to hire, train and onboard employees. Control inventory of beverage against operating budget. Be present in the dining room during peak hours to support beverage sales across all dining venues. Work with the dining room staff and develop/implement beverage programs to increase member satisfaction.
Position reports to the Director of Food and Beverage.
Requirements

    Skills and Abilities:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Must have at least 5 years progressive experience in wait service and managing restaurants.
    • Court of Masters Level 1 recommended or WSET Level 2
    • Ability to maintain and uplift team morale
    • Microsoft office skills necessary
    • Jonas POS system administrator
    • Technical skills to manage various programs that affect the food and beverage operation
    • Desire for future growth and professional development during tenure at Sailfish Point POA

    Education/Training/Certificates/Licenses:
    1. Valid Drivers' License needed.
    2. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
    3. Must have Food Managers certification, such as ServSafe Food Managers' program, or be willing to obtain said certificate.
    4. Yearly growth in certification a requirement. (TiPS, Cicerone, Sommelier, Financial acumen training, CMAA training course and development seminars etc...)
    5. Previous Sommelier experience required
    6. Previous club, hotel or similar experience required
    7. Prior management experience required
