Job description

Brand Ambassador - Portland Metro
Department: Marketing
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Location Requirement - Must Reside in Portland Metro Area
Reporting To: Jake Zachariah
Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 / year
Description
About OneApp:
OneApp is a mission-driven company that increases access to rental housing by removing financial and systemic barriers for renters while reducing risk for property managers. We're building market-based solutions to unlock housing opportunities at scale, with a bold 10-year goal to help 1 million people gain access to housing.
Role Overview:
The Brand Ambassador is the face of OneApp on the floor. At trade shows, regional expos, and multifamily industry conferences, you are the first impression. We are looking for someone who is energetic, knowledgeable, and mission-driven. You will engage prospects, generate leads, represent our brand with integrity, and make every interaction count. When you're not on-site at an event, you're making the next one better: handling logistics, managing materials and inventory, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and supporting the event calendar that the events supervisor owns and runs.
This role was built for someone who thrives in people-first environments, doesn't flinch at a packed trade show floor, and takes genuine pride in doing the operational work well. If the idea of traveling to 15+ events a year while building real skills in field marketing, event execution, and brand representation sounds like a launchpad rather than a grind, you might be the person we're looking for.
Details:
  • Details:
    • Job Title: Brand Ambassador - Portland OR Metro
    • Location: Remote
    • Salary: $60,000-$65,000 annually
    • Reports to: VP of Marketing
    • Work Hours: Full Time, Hours Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (your local time)

Key Responsibilities
On-Site Brand RepresentationYour primary responsibility at any event is to show up as a credible, confident, enthusiastic representative of OneApp. You're not just working a booth - you're building relationships and moving conversations forward.
  • Represent OneApp at 10-15+ trade shows, conferences, and regional expos annually, including Level-1 shows (NAA Apartmentalize, OPTECH) and Level-2/regional events.
  • Engage attendees proactively - initiate conversations, explain OneApp's value proposition clearly, answer questions, and surface interest for the Sales team.
  • Capture and qualify leads accurately using event-provided or internal tools; ensure data is clean, consistent, and handed off properly after every event.Execute booth setup, breakdown, and presentation with care - materials are staged, the display is on-brand, and the experience reflects OneApp's standards.
  • Brief and align with attending Sales and Partner Success team members before and during events; keep everyone prepared and on-message.

Event Logistics SupportWhen you're off the road, you're keeping the machine running. A significant portion of your non-event time is spent on the logistics that make events land well.
  • Manage pre-event coordination for your assigned events: register attendees, confirm logistics, review exhibitor guides, and ensure all deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Order, track, and manage event materials, booth assets, and promotional inventory - from swag to signage to collateral. Own the storefront and event supply inventory.
  • Coordinate shipping of materials to events and ensure timely arrival; troubleshoot in real time when things go sideways.
  • Support pre-event communications: draft calendar invites, briefing notes, and attendee-facing logistics details in coordination with the events supervisor.
  • Collect and clean attendee lists from event organizers or partners for use in outreach; hand off to the Growth & Marketing Ops Manager for campaign activation.
  • Compile post-event recaps - leads captured, qualitative highlights, and feedback themes - and ensure everything is properly organized and accessible.

Content Execution Support
You'll occasionally serve as on-the-ground content support at events, working alongside the content owner when coverage is needed. This is an execution role - not creative or strategic.
  • Capture on-site photos and video content at events per the direction of the content owners or events supervisor .
  • Assist with distribution of event-specific promotional materials, including social graphics and printed assets created by the marketing team.
  • Contribute post-event content moments (quotes, observations, audience reactions) as raw input for the Content team's recaps and social posts.

Brand Standards & FeedbackYou are the eyes and ears of the marketing team at every event. What you observe on the floor informs how we improve.
  • Maintain consistent, on-brand presentation across all touchpoints you own: booth display, materials, personal conduct, and verbal messaging.
  • Distribute and collect post-event attendee surveys; surface recurring themes and feedback to the events supervisor and the marketing team.
  • Identify and escalate gaps in materials, messaging, or readiness that affect our brand presence on the floor.

Qualifications & Criteria
  • 6 months -2 years of experience in a customer-facing, event, field marketing, sales support, or brand-representative context - retail, hospitality, trade show staffing, campus ambassador work, and similar backgrounds all count.
  • Genuine comfort engaging strangers in conversation - you're the person at the booth who pulls people in, not the one who waits for them to approach.
  • Strong organizational instincts: you track what needs to happen, when, and you don't let things fall through the cracks without being managed.
  • Reliability and follow-through. You do what you said you'd do. You flag early if something is at risk.
  • Comfortable with heavy travel (40-60%+ of the time); able to manage yourself on the road without significant hand-holding.
  • Genuine connection to the mission. You understand - or want to understand - what it means to help someone get housing who was told no.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Portland, OR (no relocation assistance offered).

Preferred:
  • Familiarity with the multifamily housing industry, property management, or proptech.
  • Experience using a CRM or lead capture tool (HubSpot, Salesforce, event apps, etc.).
  • Comfort with basic content capture: phone photography, short-form video, social posting.
  • Experience managing physical inventory, shipping coordination, or supply logistics.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) - helpful given the breadth of renter populations we serve.

Benefits
  • This is a full-time position
  • Salary: $60,000-$65,000 annually
  • Profit sharing plan
  • Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits
  • 401K Plan
  • Unlimited PTO
