Collins Aerospace is looking for a Sr. Industrial Engineer to join the Industrial Engineering Team at their Cheshire, CT location.

This is an onsite role, located in Cheshire, CT.

What You Will Do

  • Identify and implement new technologies, automation opportunities, and digital manufacturing solutions that support the site's Industry 4.0 roadmap and improve operational performance.
  • Apply industrial engineering principles to improve schedule performance, productivity, cost, flow, and first-time quality through Lean, data analytics, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT to identify, quantify, prioritize, and implement improvement opportunities across production processes and supporting systems.
  • Evaluate production routings, work methods, process sequences, and standards to improve efficiency, reduce variation, and maximize the utilization of equipment, facilities, and personnel.
  • Support the expanded use and continuous improvement of Solumina iSeries (MES) to strengthen digital work instructions, routing execution, production traceability, and overall shop floor execution processes.
  • Support equipment connectivity and real-time production visibility with the use of digital solutions.
  • Develop and recommend facility and equipment layouts and investments to meet product delivery and cost targets
  • Drives engagement/project closure and ensure results are being achieved.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Understanding of labor planning, process flow, capacity analysis, routing, standard work and bottleneck identification
  • Experience with MES, ERP, or digital manufacturing systems; Solumina & SAP experience

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience using continuous improvement tools including Lean, CORE, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Software / data science & analytics (Power Bi, SQL, Snowflake, Python, R) experience
  • Software Development & Automation Experience (MS Power Apps, MS Power Automate, Ignition and etc.)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with indirect influence, interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to drive results

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
