Job description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Manager for Printed Circuit Assembly is responsible for ensuring the quality of manufactured printed circuit boards and assemblies, adhering to industry standards and regulations. They lead quality assurance efforts, manage quality systems, and drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing process. This role involves supervising quality teams, implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, and collaborating with other departments to address quality issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement, maintain, and improve quality management systems.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans, inspection procedures, and sampling protocols.
  •  Analyze production data, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Lead supplier development, qualification, and performance monitoring, ensuring consistent quality from suppliers.
  • Supervise and mentor quality assurance personnel, providing training and support.
  • Investigate and analyze quality issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits, document quality activities, and maintain records.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to address quality issues and improve processes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in engineering, electronics, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management within the PCA manufacturing or electronics industry is highly desirable.
  • Thorough understanding of PCA design, fabrication, and assembly processes, as well as quality management principles and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
  • Certifications like ASQ Quality Engineer (CQE) or ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) are beneficial.
