Job Description
Medical City Children's is seeking a certified acute care pediatric nurse practitioner or certified acute care and primary care pediatric nurse practitioner.
Candidate Requirements:
• Master's degree or higher in nursing, documentation of completion of accredited acute care pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP)
• Prefer dual certification for both primary and acute care pediatric nurse practitioner to function independently in a high acuity, fast paced pediatric cardiac intensive care unit caring for patients with congenital heart disease including both pre-surgical and post-surgical patients, acquired heart disease, and post-surgical adult congenital heart disease
• Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Current Texas licensure as an APRN-NP
• Required basic life support (BLS) certified
• Required pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certified
• Preferred adult cardiac life support (ACLS) certified
• Cardiac experience preferred, but not required
