Englewood Methodist Church
Administrative Support Assistant ( Part Time)

Schedule: Monday - Thursday mornings ( approximately 20-24 hours per week
Reports to:  Business Administrator / Pastor
Position Summary
The Administrative Support Assistant helps ensure the smooth operation of the church office through clerical support, database management, event coordination, and administrative assistance.  This position supports the ministry and mission of Englewood Methodist Church by keeping records accurate, communications organized, and logistics coordinated.
Key Responsibilities
Office Administration
  • Monitor and update the church mailing list for accuracy and current contact information.
  • Order and maintain inventory of office supplies.
  • Collect and record funds received through the church office and deliver to the Finance Team according to established procedures. 
  • Assist with the preparation of reports and documents, including the annual Church Conference report.
Member & Record Management
  • Maintain member records and visitation logs in both digital and paper formats.
  • Update and manage information in Planning Center People, ensuring all membership and contact information is accurate. 
Calendar & Scheduling
  • Manage and update the Planning Center Calendar, coordinating church events, facility usage, and ministry activities. 
  • Support overall church scheduling and communicate updates to staff and ministry leaders.

Event & Vehicle Support
  • Provide administrative support for special events, including scheduling, communication, and volunteer coordination. 
  • Maintain and coordinate use of church vehicles, including scheduling and recordkeeping for maintenance and mileage logs. 
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office or Google Workspace),
  • Experience with the Planning Center preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately,
  • Friendly, dependable, and detail oriented.
Work Environment
  • Position based at the Englewood Methodist Church office.
  • Collaborative and ministry-focused setting.
  • Requires sitting, light lifting, and frequent computer use.
