Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Bellevue, NE is currently seeking a DevSecOps Engineer or Principal DevSecOps Engineer. The successful candidates will demonstrate a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities achieving sustainable quality products. They will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The selected candidates will participate in the entire software development lifecycle with a concentration in DevOps/DevSecOps Engineering. The candidates will work closely with other software developers accomplishing the following:
  • Collaborate with software designers and/or software engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of CI/CD Pipelines and software systems
  • Complete work independently and as a part of an Agile team
  • Support team in completing necessary software on schedule
  • Solve complex problems through innovative and creative solutions
  • Regularly demonstrate progress to customers

Basic Qualifications
  • DevSecOps Engineer:
    • A high school diploma with a minimum of 6 years of software development experience
    • A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 2 years of software development experience
    • A Master of Science degree in a STEM field with 0 years of software development experience
  • Principal DevSecOps Engineer:
    • A high school diploma with a minimum of 9 years of software development experience
    • A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 5 years of software development experience
    • A Master of Science degree in a STEM field with 3 years of software development experience
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Working knowledge and experience with CI/CD Pipelines, with emphasis on Jenkins
  • Working knowledge and experience with Ansible
  • Working knowledge and experience with Atlassian Confluence
  • Proven experience with Linux OS.
  • Working knowledge of the Agile development processes
  • Ability to work full time on-site in Bellevue, NE.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the following software tools/programs
    • Gradle
    • Python
    • SonarQube
    • Kubernetes
    • VMware
    • Atlassian Bitbucket
    • Cypress Testing Framework
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
