Job description

AccuWeather is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our Human Resources team at our Corporate HR in State College, Pennsylvania for the summer and continue during the fall school year. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR practices, policies, and procedures. The HR Intern will support daily HR operations, recruitment, employee engagement activities, and administrative functions while learning about the overall employee lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with candidates.
  • Support onboarding and orientation for new hires.
  • Maintain and update HR records, databases, and employee files.
  • Assist with payroll and benefits administration as needed.
  • Help organize employee engagement initiatives, training sessions, and events.
  • Conduct research on HR trends, best practices, and compliance topics.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
