Disney Entertainment's eight owned ABC stations are multiplatform leaders in local news and information.ABC7 KGO-TV is the Bay Area's news leader, delivering breaking news, weather and live video on-air and 24/7 wherever you stream.Producing more than 45 hours of live newscasts every week, ABC7 Eyewitness News is widely recognized for its solution-based journalism and advocacy with legacy franchises Seven on Your Side, and I-Team.ABC7 is a respected and valued community resource, KGO-TV is an ABC Owned Television Station serving San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, and the greater Bay Area.

KGO-TV/ABC7, the ABC-owned television station in San Francisco, also serving Oakland and San Jose is seeking an accredited meteorologist or experienced weather anchor to produce and present daily weather forecasts for newscasts, on digital and social platforms.The meteorologist/weather anchor will use weather software systems to create and present forecasts for various newscasts.This employee will also create forecasts for digital and social platforms and for the KGO-TV/ABC7 24/7 live stream.

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Meteorology degree

Preferred Certification:

  • AMS Seal
This position is covered under SAG-AFTRA - KGO-TV Newspersons Agreement. The Pay Rate for this role is: $415/day + overtime.
