The Estimator position is the key contact from quoting through job set-up to completion and will coordinate project information into material orders sending on to be processed into sales orders. Maintains communication with buyers, salespeople, customer contacts, and plant divisions. This is an in-office position.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide material estimates requested by sales/customers.
  • Meets deadlines and scheduled delivery dates.
  • Provide material take-offs from job estimates.
  • Works closely with our customer’s Project Managers, Builders and Bay’s District Sales Managers.
  • Coordinate ordering of materials and follow up on deliveries as needed.
  • Coordinates job flow including delegating and follow-up.
  • Utilizes strong customer service skills to build rapport and maintain communication with Sales Representatives and customer contacts.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in construction, insulation, or metal building industries preferred.
  • Excellent Math Skills
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and/or construction background.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems and applications.
  • Previous estimating experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
  • “Division 08 Openings” architectural terminology knowledge a plus.
