Client Job Title:  Sr Data Architect, Modeler, ERStudio Expert

Contract Duration:  6 + months

Location:  New York, New York 10045

 

Required Skills:

 

- ER Studion /Data Architect expert

- 8+ years of IT experience

- Very strong ER Studio Data Architect experience from version 9.0 and above

- Knowledge of data warehouse architecture and data modeling and metadata concepts

- Strong modeling experience highly desired, including Entity Relationship (ER) and Dimensional modeling

- ER Studio macro scripting

- Familiar with UNIX and Windows server installations a plus

- Extremely Detail Oriented

- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

 

Description:

 

  • Working with developers, modelers, database engineering, and the Data Management Office (DMO) to design and implement an effective operating environment to support the growing modeling footprint in support of data integration and business intelligence needs of the organization.

-       Introduce best practices for working in the Embarcadero suite of products and function as SME to data modelers who need administrative support for keeping data models in sync with the physical database as well as in sync with related data models.

  • Key areas of support include

-       Build and maintain toolset of custom macros to aid the standardization, best practices and automation of repetitive tasks - Synchronize metadata given to us from the DMO with the data model to ensure a single source of metadata at the model level

-       Maintain a standardized set of domains for use across models - Work with Project teams on naming standards and maintain the data dictionary

-       Establish Change Management policy including collaborate features such as model security, versioning and collaborative check in/out version history

-       Lead efforts to bring existing data models up to standards - Work with our counterparts in Database Engineering and the Bank's Technology Services Group in the creation and maintenance of Physical Data Models and ensure platform is properly supported

-       Assist modelers in documentation generation as required - Communicate best practices, guidelines, principles and standards to project teams

-       Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, deployment diagrams and check-lists - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
