Job Summary:  

 As a Distribution Planner, you will become the SME in a specific geographic area where you will be balancing the most cost-effective andcustomer-focusedschedule to meet both the company goals andcustomerneeds. You willcollaboratewith supply chain teams internally to resolve any day-to-day issues to continuously supply ourcustomersin thisexciting24/7environment, monitoring multiple systems throughout the day to provide world-classcustomerserviceto our valuedcustomers.

PrincipalResponsibilities: 

•Promote Messer’s safety goals andfostera positive teamenvironment 

•Schedulecustomerdeliveries to avoidserviceinterruptions at the lowest cost with the greatest utilization of assets and payloads 

•Monitor alerts for changes indemandand adjust the delivery plan asneededto ensure continuous supply tocustomers 

•Use proprietary software systems to accurately maintain data anddetermineforecastedcustomerdemand 

•Managemultiple tasks andadaptto changing priorities, identifying and resolvingcustomerand location issues 

 RequiredSkills: 

•Prior transportation experience preferred 

•Effective written and oralcommunication skills 

•Goodcritical thinkingand math skills 

•Excellentcustomerserviceskills 

•Capable of working efficiently with automated systems 

Basic Qualifications: 

•Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business, logistics or supply chain management OR 3+ years of transportation dispatch, scheduling/planning experience acceptable with HSD in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
