Principal Responsibilities

Report on and analyze KPIs for Bulk Operations’ performance

  • Prepare and support the presentation of the monthly Operations Performance Workshop (OPW) to the Executive Vice President of Operations and their direct reports.
  • Analyze performance vs targets and provide exception-based reporting including required actions for opportunities or mitigations for deviations to plan — Benchmark Transport & Production Performance.
  • Identify underlying trends at local and national levels that provide opportunities for cost savings and/or mitigation and assist with prioritization.
  • Help develop and utilize systems and methodologies that maintain validated data for reporting and analysis.
  • Using validated data to construct and deliver on a regular basis to required parties concise exception-based management reports on performance overall and by specific KPI or area
  • Drive continuous improvement in Scheduling and Transport via KPI reporting.
  • Manage training materials for Transport and Production cost reporting.
  • Compare external benchmarks to identify improvement or knowledge-sharing opportunities.

Assist with the yearly budgeting process and ongoing forecast

  • Coordinate budgeting activities within Bulk Operations and Finance teams
  • Collect and input master data in Adaptive for budgeting cycle
  • Support the revision process such that the final budget is optimized, agreed with stakeholders and supports the overall Operations’ strategy and priorities
  • Support Operational Budgets Manager with analysis and material development for presentation to Executive Vice President of Operations and their direct reports
  • Highlight gaps or opportunities regarding year-on-year budgeting by comparing to bottom-up or best practice examples

Provide support for cost and KPI related questions from Bulk Operations, Finance and Product Management

  • Provide updates to key cost inputs for quarterly surcharge calculations, analysis, and reports for Product Management
  • Work with stakeholders to provide business case justifications where required
  • Supports Supply Chain with outage cost reporting
  • Serve as a contact for SAP/BW cost questions

Systems usage and maintenance

  • SAP/BW, GOLD, Parcview, Adaptive
  • SAP Analytics Cloud and Tableau for data visualization

Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of overall Operations cost drivers and business processes
  • Ability to translate complex data from various and disparate systems into cohesive and effective management information
  • Self-driven, fast learner
  • Strong data mining and analysis
  • Must be knowledgeable in SAP, Excel, and related data reporting environments and tools
  • Strong business systems experience

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the supply chain, engineering, finance, accounting, or equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in industrial gases or related process industry with supply chain, accounting or related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • C.P., M.B.A. and six sigma certification are a plus
